"4 Things God Wants You to Know About Eternity"

from Save New England Quarterly

1. Eternity is a long time.

When you were born, God gave you life in the form of an eternal soul. Your conscience and your personality will live forever somewhere. Eternity is defined as "without end of existence." That's a long time!

2. You will exist somewhere forever.

Your soul will never die. It will dwell somewhere forever. Death is not the end, it is the doorway to eternity. Some will go to eternal torment in Hell, and some will enjoy eternal bliss in Heaven.

Revelation 21:8b "...and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burnets with fire and brimstone : which is the second death."

John 6:47 "verily, Verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life."

3. God requires that you decide where you spend eternity.

Everyone is a sinner who has broken God's Law. Sinners cannot go to Heaven. You must trust in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in order to be forgiven. If you do nothing, your eternal damnation is sealed.

God gave you free will. You must choose whether to accept or reject Jesus Christ as your Saviour.

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 10:9 "that if though shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

4. God declares that you will live with the choice you make while you are alive for all eternity.

John 3:36 "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him."

Romans 10:10, 13 "for with the heart of man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation...For whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

The choice is yours, but God will make you live with your decision for eternity. Your decision determines your destiny. Eternity is a long time to be wrong. Don't gamble with your soul. God loves you so much that He made a way for you to be forgiven of your sin through faith in Jesus Christ. Trust Him today!

"Dear Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. I don't want to go to Hell when I die. I believe that You died on the Cross to pay for my sin. I believe You were buried and rose again from the dead. I accept You as my Saviour right now. Please forgive me of all my sins and take me to Heaven when I die. Amen.
